Housing Manager Bonnie Rohel ensures proper management of 132 community owned homes and is available to home occupants Mon-Thus, 10:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Rent is due the 1st of each month. There is a 15-day grace period and if payment isn’t forthcoming the occupant receives a phone call from Bonnie. Should that not result in payment, a letter is sent and the occupant is considered in default of payment. An eviction notice is then issued and steps taken if required evicting the occupant from the home. Non-compliance of the rent policy can and will result in debt collection which could impact a person’s credit rating. Applications for housing rentals require a credit check and two income statements.   Rent is determined based on the mortgage on each property. Home insurance is required by each renter. Emergency repairs are managed by Bonnie as our requests for renovations which are approved by the Housing department.   All Saulteau homes are currently occupied.
