Moberly Lake Dancing Spirits

We are the dancers of the "Moberly Lake Dancing Spirits" are seeking donations for attending various events. Our group has been together for approximately 10 years with 3 elders and 1 adult and 9 youth whom are active at events. We currently perform the culture, and in our community to educate about First Nations people.

Powwows are an opportunity for the dancers to learn from others and to enhance their particular style of dancing. It is also a change to promote the area we are from. Our dance group has also 3 princesses who represent 2 Northern Powwows as grand entries. It has taken many hours and a strive for funding to get our dancers ready both in ability and to make their outfits. This whole group strives to live lives as role models for this community and to represent it in good health. Our Children have good attendance in school and are active in such things as hockey and art. Our Elders are active participants in this community and always willing to help the youth. We are willing to help out someone at a local meeting or similar project for exchange for a donation that will go towards travel costs.
