for intake in our apprenticeship program later this summer. Though shifts patterns may change  we envisage 7-on 7-off shift rotations. Location will primarily be the 4EG Shop or Field  Locations, and/or at the facilities of some of our strategic partners for assigned periods.

Job Description: 

We are seeking motivated Heavy-Duty Mechanic Apprentices to join our team. This role  provides hands-on training and mentorship in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty  equipment. The successful candidate/s will work under the supervision of experienced mechanics to develop technical skills and industry knowledge.

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of heavy-duty equipment such as trucks, loaders, excavators, and other machinery.
  • Perform routine inspections, lubrication, and servicing of mechanical components.  Learn to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Work with senior mechanics to dismantle and reassemble engines, transmissions, and  other components.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Follow safety protocols and company procedures at all times.
  • Complete required apprenticeship training and coursework.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Enrollment in or completion of a Heavy-Duty Mechanic Apprenticeship program is preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and a strong willingness to learn.
  • Basic knowledge of tools and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
