SUMMARY:Healing The Lands
DESCRIPTION:The Healing the Land Conference brings together Indigenous leaders\, governments\, restoration practitioners\, researchers\, industry partners and community members to advance shared commitments to stewardship and sustainable land management. Guided by three interconnected themes – restoring relationships with land\, knowledge and each other; building a restoration economy that sustains people and habitats; and giving back to the land through practice and investment – the conference highlights the importance of aligning cultural\, environmental and economic priorities. These themes reflect a holistic approach to restoration that recognizes the deep connections between people\, place and responsibility. \nParticipants will engage in a conference program based on inspiring keynote presentations\, dynamic panel discussions and interactive courses that showcase leading practices in ecological restoration\, land stewardship and Indigenous governance. Sessions will feature case studies\, community-led initiatives and innovative tools that support long-term ecosystem health and resilience. The conference also offers opportunities for experiential learning through cultural activities and land-based experiences that deepen understanding and strengthen relationships. \nWe invite you to join us in this shared journey of learning\, collaboration and action as we work together to heal the land and sustain our future.
