Cultural Burning

Cultural Burning is taking place April 24–26, 2026.
BC Wildfire Service will be in the community completing site preparation and supporting a cultural burn over the weekend. This is an opportunity to learn about traditional land stewardship practices and how they contribute to wildfire risk reduction and ecosystem health.
Locations:
• Hillside at Boucher Lake Road / Hwy 29 (Friday)
• Community pasture and field surrounding the new shop (Saturday)
