Having issues with your power?

Please be advised that extensive wildfire activity in the Caribou region of BC may be impacting power supply to different areas of the province. BC Hydro has warned BC Residents (via statement to Global News BC) that wildfire debris such as ash and firebrands may cause service interruptions for various areas of BC as the debris interacts with the power lines and power infrastructure.

Power issue might look like short term outages, flickering lights / power, or longer term outages.

For map of current outages, please refer to BC Hydro Outage Map (https://www.bchydro.com/power-outages/app/outage-map.html)

What should YOU do?

  • Unplug power sensitive appliances or devices (as best able)
  • Use surge protectors within the home
  • Charge back up battery supplies / power banks while power is still on

Saulteau First Nations will not be supplying further updates on this matter – this is an advisory only.
