About 4EG

4Evergreen Resources LP (4EG) is a 100% Saulteau First Nation–owned company based near Chetwynd, BC. We deliver stump-to-dump forestry, civil construction, clearing, and  reclamation projects across the energy, mining, utilities, and forestry sectors.

Our excellence is grounded in experienced people, quality equipment, strong HSE and  project management practices, and the values that guide us: safety, community mindedness, integrity, respect, transparency, trust, and excellence. At 4EG, success is measured not just

by project completion, but by how we contribute to lasting opportunity for Saulteau  members, community well-being, and respect for the land.

The Turnaround Journey

In 2025, 4EG launched a turnaround to restore profitability and long-term sustainability.  Key steps already taken include selling surplus equipment, reducing costs through new  contractor agreements, right-sizing staffing, refinancing debt, and improving inventory  management. The Board is now seeking a General Manager who can build on this progress, ensuring operational discipline while embedding values-driven leadership that reflects our Nation-owned identity.

The Role

The General Manager will lead a mid-sized company with annual revenues of $30–$60M in a challenging and competitive environment. This role requires both technical and cultural  leadership:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across forestry, construction, and reclamation projects.
  • Drive cash discipline, cost control, and proper contract costing to secure profitability.
  • Demonstrate the resolve to hold firm with employees, contractors, and clients in service of  company stability.
  • Lead and mentor a management team and workforce, building a culture of safety,  accountability, and respect.
  • Foster a culturally respectful workplace by supporting Indigenous values, traditions, and  community engagement.
  • Collaborate with Saulteau First Nation leadership and members to create training,  employment, and capacity-building opportunities.
  • Strengthen client relationships while ensuring the company’s success aligns with community priorities.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a seasoned leader who understands what it means to manage through a  turnaround while honouring the values of an Indigenous-owned business. The ideal  candidate will bring:

  • Senior leadership experience in forestry, civil construction, or related sectors.
  • Proven success leading financial and operational turnarounds.
  • Strong skills in contract negotiation, estimation, and cost management.
  • Ability to inspire, mentor, and hold teams accountable under challenging conditions.
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity, with the ability to engage respectfully with Indigenous communities and leadership.
  • Commitment to supporting Saulteau member employment, training, and career  development.
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
  • Integrity, resilience, and sound judgment.
  • Preferred Credentials: Registered Professional Forester (RPF), PMP, or related designation.

Why Join 4EG?

This is a unique opportunity to lead a First Nation–owned company at a pivotal moment. With the turnaround underway, the incoming GM will have the mandate and support to:

  • Secure 4EG’s financial and operational sustainability.
  • Champion a respectful, inclusive workplace that reflects Saulteau values.
  • Build meaningful employment and contracting opportunities for Saulteau members.
  • Shape a culture of performance, accountability, and pride.
  • Lead a business that balances profitability with community and environmental  stewardship.
