About the Job:

We are seeking skilled and reliable Log Truck Drivers with experience operating B-train,  Hayrack, and Quad Trailers.

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and comfortable handling  logging loads in various conditions.

This role reports to the Facility and Logistic Lead, working closely with the Field Supervisors and Project Managers.

Preference will be given to Indigenous persons, prior 4EG employees, and residents of the  4EG operating areas. Accommodations may be discussed for out of town applicants.  Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a log truck and trailers to transport logs from the woods to sorting
  • yards or other destinations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any mechanical issues.
  • Follow all company, provincial, and federal transportation regulations.
  •  Maintain accurate logs, paperwork, and records.
  • Collaborate with site supervisors and crew to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Qualifications: 

  • Possess a current valid Class 1 license with a minimum of 2 years driving experience in the construction/logging industry or an equivalent combination of education,  training and experience.
  • Current valid safety certificates an asset (OFA Level 1 minimum, WHMIS 2015, TDG, Oilfield Driver Awareness, Construction Safety Training Systems, Pipeline  Construction Safety Training and S-100 (Fire Suppression).
  • Must supply, maintain and be knowledgeable in the use of their own required and  approved safety gear and personal protective equipment (PPE), appropriate clothing and tools, equipment and supplies.
  • Must be physically capable of working in all types of weather, including climbing ladders and manipulating hoses.
  • Submit to pre-employment drug and alcohol (D&A) testing.
  • Provide a current Driver’s Abstract.
