Ground-Breaking Ceremony for the New Saulteau First Nations

Cultural and Recreation Centre


SAULTEAU FIRST NATIONS, B.C. – June 6th, 2022 

On May 19, the community came together to participate in a groundbreaking ceremony at the

future home of the New Saulteau First Nations Cultural and Recreation Centre.


The Saulteau First Nations Chief and Council would like to thank the Government of Canada for its generous contribution of $11.7 million through the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program’s Community, Culture and Recreation Stream.


“Culture and recreation centres are vital hubs that should be welcoming spaces that can support cultural activities, health, fitness and overall community building. The groundbreaking marked an exciting step in the construction of the Saulteau First Nations new cultural and recreation centre"
