Air Quality!

Posted July 21, 2026 in

Air Quality impacts us all differently! You may already be experiencing symptoms of poor air quality including headaches, mild coughing, increase in mucus (snot), or nose / throat / eye / sinus irritation.

If you have an air purifier in your home – now is the time to use it! Air purifiers work best when:

  • The filter is clean - if you don’t have a replacement, try wiping out filter system with a dry rag or washing if filter system is made of water tolerant materials
  • When rooms are sealed against external air (no open windows or doors)
  • Placed in a central location within the room with easy air flow around entire unit (no placing on soft surfaces or locations where air intake is blocked)

Serious, but less common symptoms associated with poor air quality include dizziness, wheezing, chest pains, severe cough, asthma attacks, shortness of breath, or irregular heartbeat – if you experience any of these more serious symptoms, please seek urgent medical attention (hospitals, not our local health care centre).
